Art Femmes D.C.
After college I wanted to join an in the D.C. area that would allow me to find a community of artists in the DMV area.
To my surprise I could not find many groups like this, especially ones that were by and for female-identifying people. What it did not lack however were the amount of people I knew who would benefit from such a space.

This is why I created Art Femmes D.C. in the Spring of 2023.

AFDC prioritizes the importance of play in the creation process rather than focusing solely on the end product.
​
Following the method of art therapy groups, each meeting explores a different aspect of the human experience using a suggested theme or prompt. Whether or not a member decides to use these is up to them, the goal is simply to create.
